tips Alternative Brochure Layouts
This silver and black brochure is 10.75x16.75 flat. It was printed on an 11x17-inch sheet, and its size allowed the ink to bleed (run off the edges) without having to print on a larger sheet size, which usually increases your paper cost when printing. The front cover is shown in the bottom right third panel in the first image. When first opening the piece, three panels appear (top half of first image) and then the piece opens up to the inside (below). When flat, this piece folds in half and then into thirds, allowing it to mail in a #10 envelope. However, this piece's back cover was able to accommodate a mail panel. Refer also to http://gratzergraphics.com/brochure-grms.html for a similar effect with a 17x22-inch sheet that folds down to 5.5x8.5 as a self-mailer. Alternatively, it could have mailed in a 6x9 envelope if needed.
